![]() The historically oriented nature of the Warbird class of RC aircraft allows for a bevy of paint and decal options befitting aircraft of their respective eras. Unique features include precisely modeled overall proportions, improved spinner and propeller mounting designs for improved balance, accurate wing dihedral, flaps for easier take-offs and landings, powerful outrunner brushless electric motors, scale bladed propellers, and various highly detailed armament attachments. Warbirds commemorate warfighting aircraft throughout aviation history, and our RC models seek to mimic the appearance and performance of their full-scale counterparts. Our Warbird collection offers a wide selection of warbirds in various sizes and price ranges. As sport scale representations of their real-life counterparts many of our warbirds feature scale details including retractable landing gear, Day-Bright LED lights, drop tanks, and detailed cockpits. fine pitch screws.or a similar solution. Our RC Warbirds give pilots the chance to relive history by flying models of aircraft operated by US, British, German, Japanese and Russian militaries during WWII and other periods. Not just multi-connectors for the electronics, but my wish-list would be perhaps a "T" or "double T" type twist and lock system where one part locks the wing in place and the other, used to rotate the assembly, folds away into the wing vs. PS - I forgot, I'd also like a way to attach/detach the wings faster and easier (for larger planes). I want them to be reliable (electronics, etc.). A smoother surface and less pronounced panel lines. I want better control horns and hidden or nylon hinges with more scale detail of course, but not at the expense of making them fly terribly. ![]() To me that means >4S power for the 1400mm planes, and 4S power in 1000 -1200mms to start. The FMS P-51D v8 is a good example of one that will never nose over without a lot of effort. I'm done buying warbirds that nose over immediately on landing the majority of the time on grass and that are really intended only for flying from paved surfaces. I want warbirds that can handle grass fields. I'm not as concerned regarding getting particular rarer warbird examples, maybe because I haven't bought all the ones I want of current mainstream offerings yet. if you want to suggest it, maybe a price point for the suggested model ![]() why should a manufacturer want to develop and release this model in this scale To make this thread more useful, in addition to listing the model/variant, please also list/discuss the following: Let's use this thread to tell the manufacturers what warbird models we want. ![]() I scanned through this electric warbird forum and didn't see a thread on this topic so, I thought that I'd start one. But, there are at least a few models that we want that aren't currently available. As great as the P-51Bs and Ds, P-47Bs and Ds, Corsairs, FW-190As, etc., are, do we really need to have them available from every manufacturer? Do we really need and does the market really support P-51Ds from the same manufacturer that are only 100mm different in wingspan (ie., 1100mm and 1200mm) - I know there are other distinct differences between the two Mustangs? Don't get me wrong, these are all awesome warbirds and are worthy of being in any warbird lover's hangar.
